From the View menu, choose Script Editor to toggle the display of the Script Editor window. You can use the Script Editor window to open, create, edit, or run scripts.

Scripting helps you streamline repetitive tasks and implement customized features. Our new Batch Converter, for example, was created using scripting.

Sound Forge includes a number of scripts in the Tools > Scripting menu that you can use or modify as needed.

You can also write your own scripts using JScript, VBScript, or C# as well as scripts that have been compiled as DLLs.

You can find the most recent scripting API (application programming interface) and sample scripts on our Web site. For more information about scripting, please check out the scripting forum.
