From the Edit menu, choose Paste Special, and then choose Overwrite to replace the selected sound data with the contents of the clipboard.

The Overwrite command replaces data using the following rules:

• If the selected area is greater than the length of the clipboard, the data is overwritten from the beginning of the selection for the length of the clipboard.

• If the selected area is less than or equal to the length of the clipboard, the data is overwritten for the length of the selection only.

1. Copy the sound you want use to overwrite the current data.

2. Select the data you want to replace.

3. From the Edit menu, choose Paste Special, and then choose Overwrite. The selected data is replaced with the contents of the clipboard.
